About

Born in 1991,

A Lampron is established in Berthier-sur-mer, nestled between river and forest in Quebec. It is a place that marked her with its beauty, its countless colors and its sweet scent of the sea.

Living from her art, she has been represented in galleries since the age of 22. Her paintings can be found all over the world, notably in Europe, Asia, North America and Africa.

The artist is mainly inspired by nature so, in return, she takes care of it with a few gestures including the planting of 11 trees per painting. She also donates 3% of their value to wildlife protection organizations, since one does not exist without the other.

Since 2018, more than 3,000 native trees have been planted in collaboration with the Appalaches Park and the volunteer group she founded in 2022, “The Wild Roots.”

Process

A Lampron draws her sources of inspiration from a great love of nature: a solitary tree, the sky in all its forms, the energy of flora, the reliefs and textures of a landscape fill all her sketchbooks.

Always working two pieces at a time, she calls her duets of works Soulmates, since they share the same essence. Her process begins with picking colors on the river bank or while traveling. This unique ingredient will form the soul of the work. The artist therefore creates part of her natural painting by harvesting certain pigments, for example mother-of-pearl, charcoal, stone, clay, which give a rich and mineral vibration to her paintings. Then, she interweaves the thick textures of the piece with a discreet touch of thread.

For all of her paintings, her color palette is created with intention. Inspired by the theory of colors by Goethe and Heller, A Lampron exploits their psychological effects in order to offer works that will offer a benevolent vibration among her clients and collectors.
